Wendy Welch is the author of several books on Appalachia, including From the Front Lines of the Appalachian Addiction Crisis and Public Health in Appalachia, COVID-19 Conspiracy Theories, and The Little Bookstore of Big Stone Gap. Executive Director of the Graduate Medical Education Consortium of Southwest Virginia, her life's mission is to ensure everyone understands what a wonderful, marvelous place central Appalachia was, is, and will continue to be.
