Prior to her work at VHWDA, Abbey acted as the Healthcare Program Support Technician at the Community College Workforce Alliance in Richmond, Virginia. Abbey’s job allowed her the opportunity to work closely with prospective healthcare students and enroll them in courses like medical assistant, medical coding, and nurse aide. This position also provided valuable experience with managing and navigating learning management systems. Abbey recently graduated with her Masters in English from James Madison University and obtained her bachelor’s from Longwood.
