Chad Hensley is in his 9th year with Page County Public Schools. Mr. Hensley began his administrative career as the Assistant Principal at Luray High School in Page County. Following that tenure, Mr. Hensley served as the Principal at both Luray Elementary School and Shenandoah Elementary School. Mr. Hensley is currently the Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Principal of Page County Technical Center and Grove Hill Pre-School Academy. Prior to entering administration, Mr. Hensley taught in Staunton City Schools and Waynesboro City Public Schools where he also coached football and baseball. Mr. Hensley received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education (PK-12), Driver Education, and Special Education (PK-12) from Bridgewater College and obtained his Master's degree in Administration and Supervision from Shenandoah University.
Project Summary
Page County Technical Center (PCTC) is awarded $39,644 to enhance Virginia’s health care workforce pipeline by increasing student enrollment in the course “Introduction to Health and Medical Sciences” and the Program of Studies in EMT, LPN and CNA. The project will also target an additional health care Program of Studies in partnership with Valley Health Medical Corporation.
The goal of the project is to prepare skilled individuals to become successful health care technicians and professionals with potential employment in the community. PCTC is working with the Valley Health Advisory Group on a regional Health Science Career Pathway Program. To enhance student recruitment, Lord Fairfax Community College is partnering with Page County school division by funding a part time Career Coach to assist in recruiting students for health care Program of Studies at PCTC.
